Throughout my career I've worked with numerous software architects. Brian's skills and abilities represent a truly unique and valuable combination: one with technical knowledge and understanding along with the ability to effectively communicate and interacte with the business owners. Brian brings a pragmatic approach to applying technology to a businesss problem. In my direct experience with Brian, I found him an invaluable partner in extracting a deep understanding of the business situation and applying the appropriate technology to solve for the situation. Combined with Brian's dedication and strong sense of commitment, he provides great value to any project. - David Eschen, Director of Strategic Development

- Craig Shindledecker, Director of Software Engineering and Small Business Owner

I've known Brian for close to eight years, and I've always considered him to be one of the smartest technical minds, and strongest software engineers I've known. Brian, as a software engineer has a very strong eye for detail. In every company we've worked together, Brian is always building the cleanest, fastest and best looking code. He really shines at screens and UI, and seems to have that special "user experience" intangible that many developers overlook or drown. Ask him sometime to see the screens he built in WPF for the PASS Commerce Center application. They are clean, precise, very elegant, and ultra performant. His expertise doesn't stop there, however.

From a back-end perspective, Brian has built a scalable, factory-driven data access layer that is currently used in production within the IP Commerce framework tools. Brian, as a software architect is the consummate leader. He is solution-driven, and really seems to enjoy taking on large problems. At our current organization, Brian drove the 2.0 initiative of our software platform, and broke a seemingly gargantuan project into consumable components that had clear and concise designs and structures.

Brian's communication skills are multi-level, as he can not only clearly speak his thoughts and ideas, but he can very thoroughly document them as well - whether that be in simple Word documents, or highly complex technical modeling diagrams. As a software engineer, I reported to Brian on a technical level, and can very thoroughly endorse him as an architect, engineer and manager. Brian's skillset and knowledge are second-to-none, and I would consider myself extremely lucky to have him as part of my team, again.
- Jason Marsell, Senior Software Engineer

Brian is of that rare breed that successfully possesses technical savvy and customer service acumen. Brian’s technical skills are at the enterprise architect level and above. His eye is always on the software’s future not just the software’s present. Brian understands that the investment made in software by clients is not trivial and must be capable of supporting a business’ future as well as today’s needs. Additionally, Brian knows that long term business relationships depend upon quality results for clients. Brian has a genuine love of his craft; his work is more than just a job. Brian doesn’t simply develop software, he engineers it. I highly recommend Brian. - Tony Fryer, Senior Software Engineer and Project Manager
