IP Commerce designs and builds software for the Payments industry. Their product lines include SOA enterprise applications; client development tools (SDKs) and end-user applications (windows and web). As one of the very early hires, I was responsible for the overall software and database architecture of all IP Commerce product lines. In additional to hands-on development work, my responsibilities include playing a leadership role in the development organization; designing, building and managing the Architecture department; and evangelizing all technology-related issues both internally and externally.

Newmerix is a software startup that develops change management and testing tools for packaged applications. My role as a Senior Software Engineer was to design and develop their Program Management web application, assist with architecture design for their other products, and mentor junior engineers. The software was purely .NET (C#, ASP.NET) and used an XML database (Ipedo) which required significant use of XQuery and XPath as well as a strong understanding of XML and XSD.
